• Secret Wars of The CIA - A Talk by John Stockwell

A lecture by John Stockwell given at American University in 1989, on the inner workings of the national security council and the CIA's covert actions in Angola, Central America and Vietnam. John Stockwell is the highest-ranking CIA official ever to leave the agency and go public, talking about the horrendous crimes they have committed. He ran a CIA intelligence-gathering post in Vietnam, was the task-force commander of the CIA's secret war in Angola in 1975 and 1976 and was awarded the Medal of Merit before he resigned. In Angola, Stockwell worked for then director of the CIA, George Bush. A 13-year veteran of the agency, Stockwell gives a short history of the CIA, estimating that at least 6 million people were killed as a direct consequence of the agency's covert operations since its inception in 1947. Read Stockwell's excellent book: "The Praetorian Guard: The U.S. Role In The New World Order". This is one of the best talks I have ever heard. It was shown on CSPAN.
